GREATER CHRISTCHURCH.

Christchurch, last night. At the first meeting of the Greater Christchurch Council this evening, a proposal was suggested that steps be taken to have legislation passed this coming session to vest Hagley Park, comprising about 400 acres, in the Council, and thus abolish the Domain Board. The Council, however, decided not to do anything at present.
