MURDEROUS ASSAULT.

DEATH OF THE VICTIM.

{Per Press Association^ Auckland, last night. Mrs Morris, an aged widow, who was brutally assaulted at her residence at Mangere two months ago, died yesterday. She made a statement that two Maoris violently assaulted her. As there was some £45 in the house it is supposed that robbery was the motive for the assault. Up to the present no information concerning the perpetrators is available.
