Dunedin, last night. Win. Waldron, of tho firm of Spain and Waldron, was charged at Ophir on Thurs_ day with having on tho 29th March sold beer without a license. Defendant keeps a boarding-houso and butcher’s shop close to an hotel at Ida Valloy, and also has a farm. Mr Mclnues, S.M., fined defondant £25 and costs .Cl 4s. Mr Hanlou pointed out that tho conviction meant confiscation of liquor to the extent of £l7 10s, and tho fine was reduced to £lO.
