Auckland, last n'ght. The Avondale Jockey Club’s Autumn Meeting was concluded to-dav. The weather was fine and the attendance good. The amount put through the totahsator was 1:5883. The results were : Maiden Hurdles—Meteor (Quinton) 1, Trie Rioter 2. Waimana 3. Lady Dash was pcreiebed. Won bv a dozen lengths. Time 3.25 1-5. diva. XI 'l4s and £2 4s. Flying Handicap.— Cygnet- 'Julian) 1, iliuetaupiu'iki 2, Nutna 3. Leo Delaval was scratched. Won by rather better than a length. Time 50 4-ssoc, divs. X 4 and X 3 fU. Pony Handicap. Forth (Speakrnan) 1, Lady's Rose 2, Solitary 3. The Dodger was scratched. Won easily by three lengths. Time 1.4 45, divs. X 4 18s and X’l lOs. Autumn Handicap. 1 mile. • Landiotk (Julian) ... ... 1 Durable ... ... ... 2 The Needle ... ... ... 3 Scratched : St Olga. Lundloek got in front before tbev hud gone far, and was never headed, winning by two lengths. Time 1.43, divs. X‘3 3s aud £C 17s. Nursery Handicap.--Ropa (Percival) 1, r Dclauia 2, Ladv Annie 3. Second Hack Handicap.—Bobs (Ryan) 1, lan 2, Queen Anno 3. Scratched : llapid. Won by a length. Timo 1.18 1-5. Div., X2 15s. Waitakerei Handicap. Orange and Blue (Snodgrass) 1, Cygnet 2, Miss Lottie 3. Scratched : Landlock and Sonica. Won by 11 lengths. Timo 1.17 15. Div X2O 11s and XI 10s.
MANAWATU RACES. Per Press Association. Palmerston, last night. There was magnificent weather for the Manawatu Autumn Meeting. There was a record attendance, big fields, and good racing. A total of X 7836 was invested, as against X 6283 last year. The results were : Flying Handicap. —Livonia 1, Chasseur 2, Mongouui 3. Time 1.18, divs, XlO 14s and 13s Maiden Hack. —Tom Fivnn 1, Gold Mine 2, Stepson 3. Timo 1.50, divs. XI 19s and XI 10s. Hack Hurdles. —Ataio 1, Ranui 2, Waitohi 3. Timo 3.32, divs. X2 14s and XI 12s.
