TOLAGO BAY.
There was a very largo attondanco at the meeting of householders at Tolago Bay last evening, keen interest being taken in the proceedings. Thirteen candidates for the committee were nominated, tho following seven gentlemen being elected : J. 11. Morris 18, J. A. Moore IS, W. Lockwood 10, H. Temple IG, George Spenco 13, Hi Goodley 1-b W. H. Holder 11.
TE KARAKA. Tho meeting at Te Karaka last night was largely attended, Mr A. Lewis presiding. The statement of accounts showed a satisfactory balance. Tho Inspector’s report was read and was received with much pleasure. The inspector was warm in his praise of the manner in which the school was conducted, the teachers being highly complimented. There wore nineteen candidates for the committee, the following
gentlemen being elected :—G. Bell 28, Barrington 25, W. L. Spence '22,
Powell 22, G. Devcry 20, A. Lewis 18, J. Brown 17. Mr Lewis was re-elected chairman.
