SUICIDE OF OLD MAN.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night.-To-night, at about nine o’clock. J. Moore Hume, 60 years of age, blew his brains out m Symonds street. I-’or some time Hume, who is said to bo the son of an English admiral, was private secretary to Walter Bentley, the actor, and subsequently manager of an hotel. Ho had seen active service in the army, and was a pioneer. He had been depressed for some time. The man put a revolver in his mouth, and blew the back of hf s head off. THE STEAMER^eIaPU-
