Christchurch, last night,

At a meeting to-day of the tramwayboard it was decided to adopt the standard gauge of 3ft 1-in for electric lines. The capital value of the tramway area was stated to be T 3,006.094, from which a general rate of 5-32 d in the T would raise T 5212 5s lOd.
