By to day's Frisco mad the non. secretary of the New Zealand Rugby Union received the decision of the English Rugby Union on two important questions submitted to it by the New Zealand Union. Firstly, it was asked whether it was permissible for a player to throw in from touch, and play the ball himsc-if. The English authorities ru.e tuat tne p.ayer is not permitted to run into Me Hold after tin; ball and play it before it has been properly bounded or another player nus touched it. The second query was whether a Union in adopting a by-law permitting any person to report a player for rough play except Me referee is not acting ultra vires to the- ruies ol Me game? f 4he Eugiish Union held that the referee solely has tho right to report players.
