INCRIMINATING LETTERS,
A DOUBLE SEPARATION,

Dunedin, iast night. In the Divorce Court to-day a decree nisi was granted m Montgomery v. Montgomery, wife’s petition, the wile to have custody of the child. There was no appearance for respondent, vviro was served in South Africa. A ueerce was also granted in tne case Elizabeth Allies v. Wm. Josepn James Miles, on the ground of desertion. Two other eases had a bearing on c-ach otuer. Reginald Miles petitioned for divorce from ins wife, Martha Matida Miles, on the ground of adultery with John Richard McKenzie Mcßride. Por proof Mrs Mcßride had taken a bundle ot letters by respondent to her husband from her husband’s pocket. A decree was granted in this ease, and also on a petition of Mrs Mcßride, claiming divorce lor her husband’s misconduct with the respondent in the previous case*, woo was named as eo-respundeut. Justice Williams expressed surprise at a iady bein', jomed as co-respondent. He would not say but tnat the procedure was right, however.
