Berlin, April 21. It is announced at Berlin that Germany will make retaliation for every increase in the Canadian tariff.
The National Zeitung declares that the surtax raises the* whole question of Germany’s attitude towards the new system of preferential treatment of Britain by her colonies. The writer hopes Australia will not follow Canada’s example.
