RELIGIOUS CONFERENCE.
Bv Telegraph—Press Association— Wellington, last night, The delegates attending the New Zealand Presbyterian Bible Class Union Conference decided to promote petitions requesting Parliament to (1) introduce Bible reading in State schools; (2) suppress street betting; (8) prohibit- newspapers publishing betting odds and results of sweepstakes. It was decided to bold the next encampment and conference at Christchurch.
