AUCKLAND RACES—FIRST DAY. Per Press Association. Auckland, Saturday. For the Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting, first day, the weathor wa3 beautifully fine, and there was a large attendance. Tho totalisator receipts for tho day amounted to 4110731. Following are tho results :

Tradesmen’s Plato.—Putty (Buchanan) 1, Idas 2, Bacchus 3. Scratched : Rosella, Green and Gold, Annoyed, St Gordon, Queen Anne. Won by three parts of a leogth. Time, 2.12:,’. Divs., £2 5s 6d and £1 16s.

Northern Champagne Stakes. —Kamo (Buchanan) 1, Ropa 2, Melodean 3. Scratched : Orowa, Stibbington, Alba Rose, Bonheur, Lady Bobs, Dosdemona. Won comfortably by a good length. Kamo and Rose Shield were bracketed on the machino. Time, 1.7:(. Divs., 411 3s 6d and £2 Is.

Easter Handicap, of 65030V5, 1 mile. Golden Eose, 7.8, Deeloy ... 1 Jewellery 2 Landlock 8 Scratched : Northumberland and Seaton. Won, well in hand, by two lengths. Time, 1.41. Diva., 116 Os 6d and 118 11a 6d. Handicap Hurdles. —Awahuri (Cameron) 1, Bellman 2, Cavaliero 8. Scratched: Royal Conqueror and Battieaxe. Won by two longths comfortably. Onslow Stakes Handicap. Delania (Ryan) 1, Alba Rose 2, Lady Bobs and To Aroha dead heat 3. All started. Alba Rose was defeatod in the last few strides by half a length. Time 1.4 : [. Thoro was a capital attendance, and the sum of £11,846 was passed through the totalisator during the day. Feilding Cup. —A.B.N. 1, Legion of Honor 2, Ringman 3. All Btarted. A good start was effected, Float and A.B.N. leading, with Ringman last. At the back of the straight A.B.N. overhauled Float, and led into the straight, Legion of Honor and Ringman lying third.
