The jury in tho case against Robort Reid and Company, warehousemen, on oharges of supplying false customs invoices, aftor being looked up all night, answered the whole nineteen counts in plaintiff’s favor. | Tho Customs Department did not pross for tho full penalty. I Tho Judge said that as this was tho first I couvictiou ho would fix tho penalty at I fiity pounds. If defendants wero again I convicted the full ponalty would be unI posed. I The hearing occupiod 26 days. There I was a strong bar on each side.
