Auckland, last night,

At the sittings of the Electoral Commission to-day, further evidence was taken in regard to the various charges agaiost tho Registrar of Electors. Very little progress was made, a great part of the time being occupied by tho examination of the list of names submitted, and discussions as to the method of dealing with them. The enquiry was adjourned until Monday. ISOLATION WARD.

Another conference of delegates from local bodies was held to-day on the infectious diseases hospital question. The resolution of last conference in favor of placing tho hospital in the grounds of the general hospital was confirmed, and it was decided to forward tho resolutions passed on the question to the Minister for Public Health, and that the Minister be requested to give effect to the wishes of the ratepayers on the question. ELEVEN O’CLOCK LICENSES.

Tho Waitemata licensing election, with one return to come, which is not likely to alter the result, gives three in favor of 11 o’clock licenses and two in favor of 10’ o'clock.
