All papers in tho Friedman case, together with letters published in tho Sydney Press, have been submitted to Mr Akers Douglas, who wroto to Mr Wise, Attornoy-General for New South Wales, that tho Secretary for State had never, without the most anxious and careful consideration, refused to act upon a judgo's recommendation relative to tho release of a prisoner when guilt was not established to his satisfaction, oven without fresh facts.
