THE WARD SYSTEM.
(Per Press Association.)' Auckland, last night. A proposal to abolish ward representation in the City Council was disemsed at a special meeting of the Council to-night, when it was decided to defer the matter for three months, owing to the proximity of the demise of the Council, but the desirability of the abolition of wards was affirmed.
