NAPIER PARK RACES,
By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, last night. Tho weather was again fine for the second day of tho Napier Park Bacing Club’s autumn meeting, and there was a large attendance. The racing was very good, the finish for the principal event, the Bennett Memorial Stakes, being one of the best seen on tho course. Jenkins had threo winning mounts, making eight in the two days. Tho starting for most of the ovents was made with the starting machine, and the despatches were all good. The investments on the toto amounted to £5840, making a total of £11,305 for the meeting. Barry’s Morpeth (Jones) ... 3 134 Ogle, 82 Sloightcar, 19 Modesty, and 13 Garnet also started. Morpeth and were in front tho greater part of the journey, but Suumos took command three furlongs from homo and won cleverly by two lengths from Benedictine, who finished fast, Morpeth a good third. Fairfax’s Kowhoto, Whittaker 3 | Also ran : 80 Mongonui, 106 The Biotor, 207 Creusot. 55 Arohs. Croupier cut out the running and led into the straight, with Kowhoto second, Mongonui third, and Shacklo last, but Pavis brought tho last-named up with a well-timed run and won by half a length from Croupier, who was a length in front of Kowhoto. Time 1.17, divs. £2 5s and 41 12s.

Ia and Tupara were in tho lead for a mile when they resigned command to Menura, who in turn wore passed by Bingmao and Ballyneety in the straight, and after a splendidly-contested race, Bingmau landed the stakes by three pans of a length from Ballyneety, who was only half-a-length in advance of Menura. Starshoot was first away, but was soon joined by Enna and Auratus, and tho pair carried on tho running to the home turn, whero Starshoot came again, but could not reach Enna, who won with something to spare by half-a-longth, Auratus a nock away third, Rose Madder fourth. Time 57see, div, X 6 Bs.

Aroha and Louise were the leading pair for fivo furlongs, when Taura ran into first place, and was never afterwards troubled, winning cleverly by half a length ; a good third. Time 1.80 4-5, div. 88 G. E. G. Richardson’s Gold Soal 3 Other starters : 165 Assayor, 85 Paria, 48 Chasseur, 84 Mongonui. Gold Soal was first away, with Assayor and Madrigal in close attendance. Madrigal came with a rush in tho straight, and won easily by a length from Mussel, who put in a fine run and gained second place from Gold Soal on the post. Time 1.10 3-5, diva. XI 14s and XI Bs.
