FAULTY CARBINES,
. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night.; Carbines issued to the Garrison Artillery and .Submarine Mining Corps are to he called in by the Defence Department on the ground of faulty sighting. A NEW HOTEL. The tender of G. E. Humphries’, at £10,590, has been accepted for the new Barrett’s Hotel, on Lambton Quay,- to replace the buildings recently, pulled down. LICENSING COMMITTEE. The old Licensing Committee has been re-elected unopposed for Oroua.
