A SPLENDID RECORD,

Auckland, last night. The gold returns for the past three weeks constitute a record for any similar period, The total is £73,563, while the best previous record for a three weekly period was £71,405. The famous Waibi mine is to the front with the best yield that has yet come from the mine, viz., £53,641 for four weeks’ crushing, during which time 18,699 tons of ore were treated.
