Ashburton, last night

About 1 o’clock to day Mrs L. liatfray was thrown from a trap on the Ashburton traffic bridge aDd killed, almost instantaneously. Miss Babington, who was with her, was badly bruised. The causo of tho accident was the horse shying at some timber lying on tho bridge for repairs to the structure. Wbat makes tho case moro sad is that Mrs Rattray's husband died suddenly yesterday from blood poisoning. .
