TITIRANGI ROAD BOARD.

A meeting of the Titirangi Road Board was bold in the County Council Chambers at noon on Saturday, there being present * the Chairman (Capt. Tucker), and Messrs W. Cooper, Bell, and Baty. The principal business was to pass accounts for payment, amongst those being one from Mr Chrisp, solicitor, on account of advice and consultation given in connection with an award made to the Haiti Road Board some time ago, which was still unpaid. The Chairman proposed, and Mr Bell seconded, 11 That immediate steps be taken against the Haiti Road Board for the recovery of the amount due to them if not paid within the course of a few weeks.” Carried. A deputation consisting of Messrs Hood and Craig waited upon the Board in connection with the repairs to Wheatstone road. Mr Hood said that a special loan had been raised by the Haiti Road Board amounting to -660, which had been spenton the road aud was not sufficient. In view of the approach of winter, it was necessary that numerous repairs should be effected. Mr Hood explained that Mr Craig had subscribed £B, Mr Jobson £ 2, aud himself £5, altogether amounting to £ls. The Haiti Road Board had agreed to give £ for £ for the amount subscribed, and what they wanted was to ask the Board to do likewise. Mr Craig said that the £8 subscribed by him had already been spent. Mr Bell proposed that they be given the £ls, provided that £-15 worth of work %vaa done. The motion was seconded by the Chairman, and carried. In connection with the Huka road, it was decided to pay Mr Nolan the sum of £ls for repairs which he had done to the A question arose a 3 to the drainage of the Huka road, and on the proposition of the Chairman it was decided to expend the sum of £3 in drainage work. It was also agreed that a new gateway be put in for Mrs Price, at a cost not exceeding 10s, the approaches having been out away by the Haiti Road Board.
