SUGGESTIONS FROM FARMERS.

Palmerston North, last night.
At & meeting of cue committee of tue Manawatu Agricultural aud Pastoral Associatiou yesterday there was a long discussion on the blockage of stock travelling to freezing works, owing to the want ot sufficient rolling stock, and resolutions were passed asking the Government to supply more waggons, as great loss was sullered by farmers in not getting trucks, especially for lambs, even after lengthy notice.
Speaking on the subject of an experimental oairy scuool, Air I). J. Nathan said he oulieved Government did not intend to do anytuiiig lu regard to the scuool. if Government refused to put producers in tue same position as producers in other countries, he would suggest that the local bodies be giveu power to levy a tax in the same mauuer as for charitable aid purposes to establish schools of instruction necessary for the peculiar requirements of different districts.
