ALIENS IN PRISON.

London, March 19. An official return shows that there weie 625 aliens in English and Welsh prisons on March 2nd. They represented three per cent, of the prison population. One hundred and two hud received sentences of five years and upwards. The maintenance of aliens in prison costs the country £30,000 per annum.
