RAILWAY LEAGUE. A meeting of the North Island Main Trunk Railway League was held to-day. Mr Fowlds, LVl.il.R., gave an address on railway matters, following on his visit to railway works in the South Island, contending that, Auckland had not received a fair share of railway expenditure. Resolutions were passed urging a vote of £100,900 in the coming session for the railway north of Auckland, and repeating the League’s invitation to the Premier to visit the North Auckland line.
