The Kaiser is visiting Dresden. The King of Saxony lias issued a manifesto to the people wherein he warmly thanks them for their sympathy. He begs them not to believe the statement that behind the misfortune which lias befallen himself and iaiuiiy lurks a tissue of ialsehood and deception, out to believe the King's word that the painful affair was solely due to the ungovernable passion of a woman who, long alter, had secretly fallen.

The King at a gala dinner held in the evening acknowledged the Kaiser’s visit to be a special comfort.
