The semi finals of '.lie Sydney £IOOO Handicap have been completed. Major Taylor, who alone ran impact'd, only managed to get fifth place in the re-run-ning oi the heat which ha won on Saturday. He made a splceriitl effort, but was exhausted fur want of assistance, Morgan winning a fine race by a few inches. The following eleven remain in the final to be run on Wednesday Don Walker syds, Morgan 10yds, Filsell 45vds, Thorne SO yds, Whitson 110yds, nil Victorians ; Mutton 25yds, Payne SOyds, Foster 95yds, Seymour 120yds, New South Wales ; Forbes, New Zealand, 10yds ; Hopper, American, 75yds.
