A BABY’S TRANCE.

AND THE FATHER’S MISTAKE,

By Telegraph—Press Association

Auckland, last night. The strange resurrection of a baby occurred on Wednesday. A motherless child, aged seven months, was taken ill on Tuesday at noon, and seven hours later apparently died,"becoming rigid and cold. The father ordered a coffin, and informed the doctor. He, with other relatives, watched over the corpse during the night. At three in the morning the baby’s eyes opened, and rigidity disappeared. The baby consumod a large meal. The women folk are astounded at the occurrence and the doctor completely puzzled at the recovery, which is unprecedented in a young baby. The coffin was countermanded. The baby is regaining strength.
