The following is the prize list in the disappearing target match, fired yesterday at Treutham, 50Uyds, seven shots, at head and shoulders target, 4see exposure : Cornes (Ohinemuri Rifles), Gilianders (Dunedinj, six hits, £2 each ; Tonkin aud Waugh (Dunedin). Stevenson (Wellington) five hits, £1 12s 6d each ; Holland (Wellington), Bairstow (Wairarapa), Badger (Greymouth), Boys JTimaru), Heatley (Hastings). Parslow (Ohinemuri), Collett (Waipawa), Papps (Stoke), Haywell (Wellington), Speck (Stratford), Johnstone (Clutha), Komp (Canterbury), Lindsay (Studbolme), Winslade (Wanganui), Wallis (Franklin), Mamgay (Piako), Moncrief (Christchurch), Young (Otaki), Needham (Palmerston North), Smithies (Wanganui), Turner (Wellington), Seott (Christchurch), Taylor (Taranaki), four hits, £1 7s each. It was called the Commander-in-Chief’s match.

The rapid-firing competition was fired to-day; one non-com., 9 men, and a provincial volunteer district or battalion, team extended five paces, each man behind separate cover, 200yds, eight shots, magazines. The result was: Wellington No. 1, £10,25; Canterbury No. 1, £B, 20; North Canterbury, £7,17; Wellington No. 3, £6, 15 ; Otago No. 1, £5,14. Wellington No. 1 beat the Bisley record. As the result of a promise made by the Premier, subject to consultation with his colleagues, it is practically certain that a New Zealand team will be sent to Bisley about March next.
