By Telegraph—Press AssooiatioD,
Auckland, last night
Admiral Panshawe, replying to a deputation to welcomo him at Russell, said he was greatly impressed with his first experience of Now Zealand. He was struck with the beauty of the Bay of Islands. He had just come from England, and knew how New Zealand’s loyalty was appreciated at Home. The Admiralty was desirous that tho sguadron should have experience of working in concert. As a rule, the ships were widely scattered. This was the first opportunity they had had of working together. To-day the squadron goes for big gun towed targots, and may try broadside firing at some isolated rocks.
