Tho woather throughout tho day was wretched, showers falling at intervals all tho afternoon. Tho hoat was intense. The attendance fell considerably short of last meeting, but notwithstanding that fact tho'sum of £4726 was put through tho machines, which must bo considered highly satisfactory. Tho results were : Maiden Plate.—Valimer 1, Endeavor 2, Ilatloy 3. Iniwa was scratched. Won easily. Time 1.48, diva. £6 8s and £2 4s. Hurdle Race. — Romany Lad 1, Hinekura 2, Westerly 3. All started. Won by a length. Time 3.80, divs. £0 7s and £1 16s.

Grandstand Handicap. Ringman 1, Lifebelt ‘2, Oudenarde 13. Scratched : Bounce, Louie, Liquefy. Won easily by a length. Tiino 1.49 1-5, diva. £2 11a and J£l Ids.

Woodville Cup.—Oracle 1, Tupara 2, Good Intent ii. Hinotaura was scratched. Queon’s Guard was made favorite, but failed to gain a place. Oracle furnished the surprise of the day, winning handsomely. Halfwuy down the straight Oraclo forgod through, defying a challenge by Gallagher on Tupara. Time 2.1 5 4-5, divs. £l9 7s and £2 14s. Flying.—Wind 1, Maluku 2, Detonator 3. St. Denis was quickest off tho mark, and kept in front all tho way. winning by a longth and a quarter, with Wolbock throo parts of a length bofr'nd Blazer.
