1 The final wool sale of the season was 1 held to-day, when 6840 bales wore offered, chiefly odd lots. There was a fair attendance of buyers, but competition was spiritless and tho bulk of the wool passed. Prices showed a considerably decline, especially in Merino half-breds. The best prices realised during the forenoon were 8-Jd for Merino, 8d for half-breds, and 6d for crossbreds. Later. —The fourth wool sale of the season was held to-day. There was a fair attendance of buyers, but the fact that Bradford repiesentatives were bidding at substantially reduced limits, while local factories already were supplied, had the effect of causing a considerable drop in prices as compared with those realised at the January sales. Of 6842 bales catalogued 3982 were sold. The decrease in values was most noticeable in merinos, which declined 2)4d to 2d per lb. In super halfbreds there was a drop of to id; medium half breds from '/• d to For bright crossbreds the sale was very irregular, showing in some instances a depreciation of from J/d to }(d, and in others a slight improvement. Lower grade wools sold irregularly. The range of prices was : Greasy merino, superior 9#d to rod, medium to good l'/zd to gd, inferior 6d to 7d ; half bred, superior 8d to gj/d, medium 6'yi.d to 7J4d, inferior 5d to 6j}d ; crossbred, superior 6}id to 6jfd, medium sd to 6d, inferior 4d to 4)4d ; long wool, medium to good to sd, inferior 3)/d to pieces and bellies 4j£d to 74/d, inferior 2d to 4d, locks 1 Xd to 4d.
