RAM FAIR.
By Telegraph —Press Association. Masterton, last nigh
At the Masterton Ram Fair yesterday there was a large attenddhee of buyers, and bidding was fairly spirited. For stud Lincolns, Messrs Perry Bros, made up to 11 guineas. Flock Lincolns were slow of sale. In the Leicester classes there was keener competition, although prices were in favor of buyers, and four guineas is the best price recorded. A few Southdowns were sold at satisfactory prices, as this class was in good demand, and sold readily up to 16 guineas, which price was paid for a stud ram bred by the late 8. Gorfaith. Prices generally ranged from five to ten guineas. A two tooth Leicester ewe, bred by Mr P. C. Threlkeld, was passod at 30 guineas.
