VISIT OF HAWKE’S BAY ELEVEN Definite word was received by tho local Crickot Association that a Hawke’s Bay representative team will play hero on Saturday, February 20th. The Association have arrangements well in hand for the big match. Yesterday afternoon, arrangements were made with tho railway authorities for a special train to convey spectators to the Ormond ground, leaving Gisborne at 1.30 p.tn. and leaving Ormond on the return journey at 6.30. The roturn fare, including admission to tho mutch, has beon fixed at tho moderate sum of 2s 6d, which should induce a very largo crowd to travel from town. Yesterday tho selectors, Messrs D. C. Hawkins, A. Crawford, and W. Gibson met, and selected tho following eleven and fifteen to meet each other on Saturday afternoon next on Victoria Domain : The Eleven : Hodge, Crawford, W. Gibson, Porter, Barton, W. MoOredie, H. Sharp, Plimmor, J. Gibson, Raymond, ami McConnell. The Fifteen : Iveson, Lang, F. Sharp, Whyte, Macdonald, Hill, Kretscbmar, W. Andrews, Hawkins, F. Smith, E. Leggett, Lewis, Dodd, Hood, and Sheridan. Emergencies : Foot, Ferris, O. Priestley, Poananga, J. Andrews, J. Leggett, J. MeCredie. The above players are requested to attend net practice each evening. A practice game will be played on the Domain tomorrow afternoon, when all the aDove players are requested to attend. As Messrs Ludbrook and K. S. Williams (Tuparoa), 3. N. Williams and A. M. Beale (Waipiro), W. Reeves, J. R. Murphy, and J. B. Morris (Tolago), and several Tokomaru players are also eligible for selection in the representative eleven, it will be seen that the selectors have a by no moans easy task before them.
