Per Press Association,. Auckland, last night. The Premier spent a busy day with deputations, doaling with various public matters. In reply to a request for Government assistance in connection with a boring scheme to test the Thames deep levels, Mr Seddon said that the deputation might almost take it as a pledge that the 'Government would contribute one-third of the cost, as it had boen proposed that the Government should grant £2 for every £1 ..Otherwise raised. Tho Premier leaves for Eotorua tomorrow morning. The Minister for Lands also loaves today, proceeding through Waikato to Kawhia.
