Tho Compensation Court to duy gave an award upon the claim of William Gibson against tho Crown for £7200, for land in Featherston street compulsorily acquired in connection with the oxtonsion of tne General Fost-Ollice buildings. The Court awarded .£4705 for the freehold and .£IOBO for the leasehold. Tho Government had offered £3360 and .£950 respectively.
