SENSATIONAL ROBBERY
By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright Perth, Fob. 17. Harry Jones, lato mechanic of Leighton’s Company, has been arrested at Albany on a chargo of receiving 640 stolon notes. He had been cashing them freoly and had £167 in gold when arrested. Loighton’s proper name is Norman Campbell. He has a brother in the same bank as Maclaran. Tho dotectives believe that the whole thing was a conspiracy and that the principal has not yet been arrested. When Maclaran was captured ho said ho had intended to ioavo by tho Opliir lastMonday but Jones did not turn up with tho ticket as arrangod. Leighton also, accused Jonos of playing him false. Leighton took tho company for a gold field’s tour, but had a disastrous financial career.
