Eustique's rider was thrown in the Third Hack Race, but his injuries were not serious. The totalisator investments for the two days were £9541. An inquiry was held into Landlock's inconsistent running, but was dismissed. Third Hack: Kaharoa 1, Waiteka 2, Lady South 3. Scratched : Coma, Prisoner, Matuku, Black Reynard. Won easily. Time 1.164; divs. £2 8s and £3 4s. Second Hurdles : Miss Drury 1, Waiwera 2, Light 3. Lady Bell was scratched. Time 2.52; divs. £1 13s and £1 16s. Second Hack Hurdles : Awahuri 1, Lady Bell 2, Hawera 3. Moturoa was scratched. Time 2.55 ; divs. £3 12s and 12s. Autumn Handicap : Queen’s Guard 1, Mars 2, Fakir 3. Strathavon was scratched.
