NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA.

Wanganui, last night. The entries for the New Zealand Championship Regatta, to be held in Wanganui on the 19th inst., constitute a record. Fifteen clubs will bo represented, consisting of tbo following: —Waitemata, Ararnoho, Avon, Blenheim, Canterbury, Christchurch Amateur, Awatiri, Otago, Petone, Pieton, Star, Union (Wanganui), Union (Christchurch), Wanganui, Wellington. Seven crews have entered for the champion fours, seveu for the champion doublo sculls, three for the champion pairs, five for the champion single sculls, and ten for the maiden fours. The regatta promises to be a great success. The Kawatiri crew arrived on Wednesday, aud appear to be in good form. RAM FAIR,
Tbo central ram fair concluded to-day. Buyers agaiu were favored. Isaac Thomson’s Sbropshires made 4gs, and Boag's Border Leicester? £4 12s; Griggs’ English Leicesters and Threlkeld’s English Leicesters, £3 Bs. Romneys did not sell. Wybourne’s Lincolns made £3 3s, and a line of Border Leicester-Lincolns sold at £3 11s.
