HEROES OF THE SIXTIES, By Telegraph—Press Association— WAIIIOA, yesterday. • Owing lo the interest taken by MaL jor Blair (acting as one of the Judges i of thp Appellate Court) in the resting t places of his comrades of the olden days, the Government have decided to locale the graves of the late Ca|>tains Canning, Carr, and Hussey, killed in the light in the sixties in the district! The remains when found , will he interred in the Wairoa Cemetery. LOVELY WAIKAREMOANA. As the Ycsull of negotiations which have been proceeding for some time, an understanding lias been arrived at out of Court, by which 14,000 acres of the Waipawa block, Waikarcmoaua district, will lie petitioned oif. This area includes Lake Warekareiti, one of the loveliest spots in New Zealand Mi A. L. D. Fraser acted for the a Crown in the matter. Ite left for - Napier this afternoon. WAIROA’« HARBOR.
