FIRE AT AUCKLAND.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. A fire destroyed Jervois House,containing sixteen rooms, in Wellesley street W’est, and the contents, owned by Mr Matthews, and occupied by Mr f D. Hughill. Later.—The insurance on the furniture and effects was in the National office, £l5O. The house, a sixtecnroomed building, was insured in the •South British for £6OO. it was the property ol Mr Matthews, of Otahuhu,
