PURE MILK

(To the Editor Gisborne Times.)

Sir,—Your correspondent who signs himself “A Sufferer ” is deserving of the thanks of householders for bringing the question of the purity of ji good deal of the milk sold in town before the public. For a long time I have been on the point of writing in regard to the same matter, and I liqpu the Inspector will in future show a little more vigilance than he has done, in the past. We all know that there are many honest milk vendors who would scorn to put water in the milk or retail an impure article ; but there are others who require watching. The Inspector should have the right to stop a milk-cart any morning, and procure a sample of the milk which is being delivered. At the risk qf offending some of your readers I also shall sign myself, ... ANOTHER SUFFERER.
