STEADY PROGRESS. (Per Press Association)^ Invercargill, last night. After a long period of building up the finances of the Southland Frozen Meat Company the directors this year propose a dividend. The credit balance for the year just expired is £SI3S. After writing off £2400 for depreciation, the proposals are to pay 5 per cent, dividend on B shares and on A shares, a total of £l6Ol ; repay £2OOO borrowed ; to reserve £4OOO, leaving a balance of £2109 to be brought forward. The profit on the year’s operations were £15,543. A SERIOUS CASE.

At the Police Court to-day James Alexander Fuller:on, medical practitioner, was charged with using an instrument for illegal purposes on a woman 18 years of age. On the application of the Crown Prosecutor a remand was granted till Tuesday, bail being allowed and forthcoming, accused himself in £2OO and two sureties of £IOO each.
