NELSON V. ENGLISHMEN. By Telegraph—PreßS Association. Nelson, last night. Tho cricket match was resumed to-day in unpleasant weather. Nelson's second innings closed for 77, Duncan being topscorer with 15, Bird next with 11. Broad, tho Nelson captain, went in seventh, and carried his bat out for 7. Burnup made tho fine average of ten wickets for 14. Thomson, tho professional, secured threo An exhibition match followed, the Englishmen going to the wickets. Nelson mado ten changes of bowling. Kinyett at one stage had threo wicketß for 1, but the analysis at the close stood at three lor 19. Macfarlane had two for 16. The Englishmen lost six wickets for 120. Tho Englishmen loft by rail for Motupiko, and loavo at four to morrow morning by coach for Koefton, where they should arrive at night. Tho weather is very wet and cold. Bain stopped play more than once to-day.
