RE WAIHIRERE
(To the Editor of the Times..). Sir,— Mr Stafford informs me that when he fell into the hole near the site of the Waihirere proposed dan# the crust of the earth did not give way with him, but the hole was hidden by scrub and he did not observe it. I readily make this correction, as I do not wish to in any particular misstate the real facts. —I am, etc., W. Dqcgms Lyssar.
