Tho crickot match commenced shortly beforo midday, in drizzling rain, which lasted all day, and at tbo lattor stage of tho proceedings intorferfered somewhat with tho play. The Englishmen won the toss, and wont to tbo wicket, eighteen of tho local twenty-five going into tho field. Tho weather was in favor of tho batsmen, tho ball being greasy. At 3.45 the Englishmen wore all out for 204, the principal scorors being Dowson 94, Johnson 28, Leatham 14, Boaanquet 22, Whatman 19. Bowling analysis: VVaty, threo for 37; Grocnfield, four for 30, Godfroy, two for 4, Horton, one for 35. Marlborough went in, and in a quarter of an hour four wickets had gone for 4 runs, Wold ruuking 2, three ducks following, and Bottroll, not out, having 2 to his crodit. Thompson took throe wickots for 2, Burnup one for 2.
