Too tramway earnings increased nearly £BB,OOO. Melbourne, Jan. 28. Commenting on Mr livid's election, the Age says that the State Parliament has shown contempt for Federal feelings, and sent to the Senate a candidate directly misrepresenting the declared opinions of the'State. The Argus declares that the combined House has risen above narrow party consideration and upheld the will of the people, as ascertained when Sir F. Sargood was elected.
