DREADFUL TRAGEDY.
MOTHER MURDERS BABY AND THEN COMMITS SUICIDE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, last night. Intimation has been received that a married woman named Elizubcth Ellen Mayhead drowned her baby hoy in a hath, and committed suicide herself by lying on top of tlie child in the hath. The affair occurred in the North East Valley. Particulate so far arc meagre.
