WOOL SALES
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. For the third wool sale of the season there was a record entry of 19,330 bales and a large attendance of Home and colonial buyers. The bulk of the wool was in excellent condition, being unusually free of earth, but fairly heavy in grease. There was a brisk competition for all good wools, and merinos and crossbreds were firmer, but fine half-breds appeared to be somewhat easier as compared with tho previous sale. Prices during tho forenoon rangod as follows: Super merino 101 d to 11,{d, medium Bkl to lOd, super half-bred Sid to 9.U1, medium 7d to 81d, inferior s:jd to (3:[d, crossbred Gd to Gjjd, medium 5d to s ; |d, long wool 4:j'd to s : jd, merino pieces 7d to 9yd, best half-bred pieces 6.)d to 7jd, medium 4:fcl to Gd, crossbred pieces 31 dto 4Ad, docks 2d to 4[d.
