Christchurch, last night. There were fair entries at Addington market to-day. Eat cattle: 158 were yarded, but prices were a shade easier. Steers brought £9 to £l3 2s 5d ; heifms, £5 to £9 lus; cmis, £0 17s 6d to £9 10s ; uuo , 20- m 20- pur lOOlbs.
Fat sheep : Tlit-u. w„, a i avttt.g .yarding of fat she, p, widen met wuh a good demand, prices being about on a par with those oi last week. Tne range of prices was as follows : Heavy-weight wethers, up to 19s 7d; prirno freezers, 17s 6d to 19s 2d; light-weights, 15s lOd to 17s; freezing ewes, 13s 8d to 18s ; best butchers' ewes, 15s 5d to 18s Id; others, 12s to 15s, Fat Lambs: Throo thousand were yarded, tho quality being better than has been tbo cast during the past few weeks. Buyers for export furthor reduced their limit, and prices were correspondingly easier, a drop of about Gd per head being noticeable. Butchers’ sorts brought 10s 3d to 15s 3d ; freezers, 12s 5d to 15s 6d. Pigs : There was a fair yarding. Baconers brought 40s to 50s 6d, equal to 5d lb ; porkers, 30s to 38s, equal to 5d to 54-d ; stores, up to 28s ; weaners, 10s to 16s.
