THE WHITEHOUSE COMPANY
At the Theatre Royal last night the Whitehouse Bioscope Company gave one of its popular entertainments. There was a large attend-
ance, ami the audience were highlypleased with the exhibition, which all pronounced to he excellent. Some beautiful pictures were shown, the splendid feature of which w 7 as the way the living pictures could be ‘sent through continuously for a space, in some cases of twenty minutes. Lord Sanguis Circus was, of course, a very popular representation, and the burlesque of “What Happened to Jones ” was a subject of much mirth. There were numerous miscellaneous scenes and illusions, all highly interesting, and the theatrophone and songs by Mr Pearce were much appreciated and encored. Mr Whitehouse has deservedly acquired a high reputation throughout the colony as an entertainer, and bringing with him such a capital entertainment; he 'is deserving oi hearty encouragement. Another exhibition will be given this evening, when a crowded house is anticipated. New items and scenes will be introduced.;
